What counts as a record?

One indexed row inside an encrypted schema. If you’re storing 50,000 patient visits across one schema, that’s 50,000 records—regardless of how many fields each row has.

What happens if I hit a limit?

Writes throttle, reads keep working, and the dashboard surfaces an upgrade prompt. Nothing drops, nothing corrupts. You have time to decide.

Can I run production on Build?

No. Build is evaluation-only—the terms of service restrict production workloads, and the infrastructure isn’t sized for them. It exists so your engineers can prove encryption-in-use against a real schema before anyone signs anything. When you’re ready for production, Scale starts at $65/month.

Do you offer a free tier?

No. Encryption-in-use runs on real compute against real key material, and a free tier would force us to either degrade the product or subsidize evaluation with paying customers’ margin. $9/month for Build is the floor—cheaper than any evaluation you’d run internally.

How does Enterprise pricing work?

Annual contract, anchored to encrypted record volume and infrastructure footprint, with compliance artifacts and SLA tier layered on. Most Enterprise agreements land in the low five figures a year and scale from there. A 20-minute call gets you a written quote.

Can I change plans anytime?

Yes. Upgrade takes effect immediately; downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle. Your encrypted data stays where it is through the change.
