Nick Sullivan
Nick is a well-known and respected leader in the security and applied cryptography space. In fact, he is the (literal) dictionary definition of “cryptographer”.
Prior to joining Blind Insight, Nick founded and lead Cloudflare Research, a group within Cloudflare focused on helping build a better Internet through R&D efforts. He was also Senior Director of Technology at Cloudflare.
He has been widely quoted on technology matters in the media (Nature, NYT, WSJ, ABC, CNN, Forbes, Bloomberg, WIRED, etc.), published influential papers in top-tier journals, spoken at dozens of technology conferences, and contributed one of the most widely-read cryptography articles to Ars Technica. Nick volunteers as co-chair of the Crypto Forum Research Group, as a program committee member for multiple conferences, and as a member of the steering committee for Real World Cryptography.

Searchable Encryption: The “Just Right” Balance of Data Privacy and Usability
At a high level, searchable encryption lets a server search data it cannot read, using cryptographic values as stand-ins for actual ones. There are a few flavors of implementations, but let’s focus on the basic idea common to many (often called Searchable Symmetric Encryption, SSE).
Homomorphic Encryption Explained — And Why Most Teams Don't Actually Need It
Homomorphic encryption (FHE) is the most-discussed approach to running computations on private data. It's also 4–24 hours slower than the alternative. Here's when FHE is the right tool, and when it isn't.
